Fiskars Degersjön Skitholmen pieniEnjoy Fiskars' beautiful nature to the full with one of our nature programmes. Some alternatives are listed below, but they can always be customised in any way you wish. Great hiking, real rock climbing for beginners, canoeing, trip skating and snowshoe walking. Paddling on Fiskars Lakes

The ironworks is surrounded by marvellous natural wilderness and numerous lakes. We organise guided canoeing trips for groups to three different locations.

Degersjö Lake is only at walking distance from the ironworks. We paddle from bay to bay as the wind direction and strength allow, then back to where we started from. Trip duration about 2 hours.

The Simijärvi - Myllyjärvi route has a wilderness feeling. We start on Simijärvi Lake and paddle along its shores to Lutsjö Lake. Two short portages then take us to Myllyjärvi Lake. At the end of the trip there is an option for sauna and/or a meal on the shore of Lake Myllyjärvi. Trip duration 3-4 hours.

To the shore of Iso-Kisko Lake by bus, then paddling around the sound on an exciting circular route, weaving in and out of the islands. Trip duration including transportation 3-4 hours.

Our experienced guides provide information on paddling technique and safety issues before each canoeing trip starts, and also offer paddlers support and safety advice during the trip. Breaks are taken at suitable places as and when needed. Prices include all necessary canoeing equipment including lifejackets. Two-person open canoes, single and tandem kayaks are available.

Open Air Exercise, about 1 h

Studies have shown that open air exercise leads to several health benefits, such as lower anxiety and stress levels, increasing creativity, eased ability to fall asleep and improved sleep quality. Exercising in nature strengthens the musculoskeletal system and burns more calories than similar exercises on flat ground. Nature is full of stimuli distracting you from the performance itself, and this is why outdoor exercise feels less strenuous than indoor sports.
Strength training exercises and stretching moves are made along the trail, using nature's own exercise equipment.

Outdoor Yoga, 1 h

This soft yoga is exercised outdoors, sensing the calming effect of surrounding nature. Also suitable for beginners.
