Paddling Trips as Part of Company Recreation Days

Paddling is an easy and safe way to get close to nature and the element of water. The quiet lapping of the water is a perfect way to break free from familiar routines, and the movement of the waves, the colors of the water, and the experiences offered by nature are both refreshing and revitalizing.

Paddling is suitable for everyone. In addition to single kayaks, we also offer tandem kayaks and canoes. It’s often more enjoyable to paddle with a partner—especially if you’re unsure about your stamina or would simply like some company for a chat. All paddling trips are planned with the weather in mind, ensuring that even those with average fitness levels can manage comfortably in a single kayak. Thoughtfully placed breaks also support a sense of community.

All our kayaks are stable and easy to handle, even for complete beginners. However, it’s always good to have basic swimming skills when on the water. For equipment, regular weather-appropriate outdoor clothing will do. Avoid leather shoes—sneakers or similar are a great choice. All other gear is provided by us and included in the price.

If desired, a light meal or a coffee break featuring local Sjundby artisan ice cream can be added to the paddling trip—because great snacks really do complete the experience.

Paddling to Käärmeluoto – 3 hours

The recreational islands of Western Käärmeluoto and Northern Käärmeluoto are located about an hour’s paddle away. Landing is easiest on the north shore of Western Käärmeluoto and the south end of Northern Käärmeluoto. Both islands have beautiful rocky shores.

Each island has a toilet. Northern Käärmeluoto also features a campfire site, while Western Käärmeluoto has a cooking shelter. Remember to bring your own firewood. Camping is allowed, and we recommend an overnight trip as well.

The full tour around the Käärmeluoto islands takes about 3 hours and covers a distance of 8 km.

Paddling to Varsasaari – 2–3 hours

Varsasaari is a recreational island that also has summer cottages. The island features an easy-to-follow trail network that allows you to explore the area and the cottage zone. Landing is near the beautiful sandy beach on the south side. The island is equipped with a water point, a grill shelter, and an outdoor toilet.
