Driving Directions

If you’re driving from Helsinki towards Sjundeå along the Hangontie (Road 51), continue about 100 meters past the Pikkala ABC service station, then turn left onto Störsvikintie. Drive straight for 1.4 kilometers until you see a sign for the Paddling Center on the left. Turn left at the sign, park your car before the gravel road at the small square, and walk down to the waterfront.

You can also reach the center by bus (stop at Pikkala ABC). Bus timetables are available on the Siuntio Public Transport website.

Route Option: Paddling trip to Lake Vikträsk

Paddle from the Paddling Center to Siuntio River through the lock and then along the river to Vikträsk Lake, where you can go ashore at our rest stop. The paddle to the rest stop and back is short and safe – quite suitable, for example, for those trying paddling for the first time. The paddling time to Lake Vikträsk is about 45 minutes by kayak/canoe. The river has no wind or current during summer. It’s recommended to reserve 3 hours for the trip and bring along tasty snacks. You can also swim at the rest stop.

Route Option: Paddling to Sjundby Manor

The paddling trip from the Paddling Center to Sjundby Manor is about 6 kilometres. There’s a place to rest on the shore of Lake Vikträsk. The landing stage at Sjundby makes getting ashore easy. A very pleasant trip can also start from Sjundby.

Built in the 1500s, Sjundby’s medieval manor and its surroundings are well worth a visit! Please remember that as the building is still in private hands, visitors are not allowed to enter the courtyard.

Route Option: Siuntio Old Vicarage – Paddling Center

This stunning river paddling route starts near the Old Vicarage and follows the tranquil river all the way to the sea, ending at the Siuntio Paddling Center. The route is approximately 13 km and takes around 5 hours including a break for snacks. Available departure times can be found in the product listings below in our online store.

Bring drinking water, your own packed lunch, and a change of clothes. Make sure to pack your phone and car keys in a waterproof bag – even a plastic ziplock will do!

Starting point:
Pappilantie 118, 02570 Siuntio
Please park tightly along the roadside. Parking at the Old Vicarage yard is not allowed as it is private property and not affiliated with the paddling center.

Before your paddle, leave one car at the end point:
Störsvikintie 140, Sjundeå – the Sjundeå Paddling Center.
Alternatively, you can take a taxi back to your car after your paddle.

Try SUP – Stand Up Paddling in Calm Waters

With us, you can easily try Stand Up Paddling (SUP) – a fun and relaxing way to move on the water. The Siuntio River is perfect for those who enjoy a peaceful pace, with no wind or current during the summer. Come experience nature from a new perspective – on a board!
